As I may have mentioned, it’s been a bit of a banal day. I think the most excitement I had was trying to reconcile the numbers of people that I thought one unit had with the numbers it actually has. That, and telling the brand new Captain “Just agree with him,” referring to the Brigade Commander. In front of the Brigade Commander. He’s a young kid, just learning, but he’s smart and I think he is going places.
Well, that and also the really sugary, undercaffeinated froufrou drink that I got from Starbucks in a wild attempt to do something different.
So there I am at work, thinking banal thoughts about an ordinary day. Then I ate dinner – chicken and salad. Then I came home. Right now I should be planning tomorrow’s class. And I’m going to get to it in a moment.
Today is one of those days.
